Chair Yoga.
This exercise can be practiced by anyone who wants to enjoy the benefits of yoga and fitness but may need a little extra support from the chair. People with mobility issues, weight problems, recovering from an injury or operation or generally feeling a little unsteady on the feet can benefit from these classes. Office workers or those who are working from home and find themselves sitting for long periods of time can benefit from these chair-based movements. The health and wellbeing benefits of yoga and fitness include improved muscle tone, increased flexibility, stress reduction, and an improved sense of well-being. Any Chair is suitable for these classes and wear comfortable clothing. The chair is used to exercise while sitting and also used to hold onto when doing some gentle standing Yoga and fitness. |
